The first analematic sundial in Kysuce was built in 2018 in the Municipality of Vysoká nad Kysucou. The sundial in placed at the small square in front of the municipal office and is surrounded by sculptures of space themes from the sculptural symposium "From Tinker to Astronaut".
The time indicator of the sundial is the shadow of a person who stands on the date scale so that he stands with the axis of his body on the N-S axis, in the place of the current calendar date. Its shadow will show what the real solar time is. This local, so-called true solar time can be converted to Central European Time (CET) or to Summer Time (SELC), which is shown by the clock, using a correction table. The exact procedure for using the sundial is shown on the table. Sunny weather is requisite :-)
