Do kršleThe monument zone Klokočov – the settlement of Do Kršle features objects of folk architecture of various cultural and historical value which were created during the gradual settlement of the foothill areas of Kysuce since the 16th century.

Wallachian colonisation was a characteristic of this period. Residential log-cabin houses represent typical original architecture of the Kysuce region. Two-space or three-space houses consist of a room, corridor or a side larder, they have a low wall footing, a saddle roof (originally made of shingles, today covered by a sheet) and a wooden board gable decorated in a distinct way. Typical house elements include under-gable with a roofed wooden corridor alongside the house called “gánok”. The oldest objects come from the end of the 19th century and the newest house was built in 1948. Six original houses, three farm buildings and two cellars were in the settlement. Today only three of the houses are used for recreation purposes.
