Description: The cross consists of a stone pedestal (sandstone was used) and a cast iron cross. The pedestal is made up of three almost square blocks placed on top of each other (from the largest at the bottom to the smallest at the top). Into this pedestal is fitted a cast iron, black-painted cross, with the corpus of the Crucified Christ painted silver, as is the INRI plaque above the crossbeam. The year of construction of the cross, 1873, is engraved into the smallest, top block of the pedestal, and above the year, a small cross is engraved (the engraved year was “enhanced” by someone with black paint).
Surroundings: The cross is located just a few meters (about 8 m) from the state border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia, between four deciduous trees – chestnuts. The area between the trees was apparently paved with flat stones in the past, a part of this surface is visible on the eastern side where a simple wooden bench is placed (or the stones were only in front of the bench). There is no immediate construction, except a brick house just beyond the border on the Czech side.

Other information: According to witnesses, pilgrims from Vysoká used to pass by here on their way to the pilgrimage to the Virgin Mary of Frýdek in Frýdek. Allegedly, in memory of these pilgrimages, M. Putek had the cross built. The cast iron cross might come from the ironworks in Frýdlant or Frýdek.
Masses or worships (for which feast, regularly/irregularly): Only private prayers.
