Description: A stone (sandstone) cross standing on a two-part base, placed on two stone slabs. The transverse and top beams of the cross have trefoil ends, with each "leaf" containing a floral motif in the shape of an eight-pointed rosette. The cast-iron corpus of the Crucified Christ does not appear to be original. The upper part of the base has a simple, stylized figure engraved on the front, likely representing the Virgin Mary, placed in a certain section engraved in the stone, that is rounded above her head, and accompanied by a small engraved cross in each corner of the section. Above the Virgin Mary’s head is an awkwardly placed metal hook for a lantern, which also obscures part of the inscription. The engraved inscription on the upper part of the base consists of two parts. Above the Virgin Mary's head, the text reads in five lines: JEZISMARIAJOZEF // FUNDATOR // ONDREJ WAWRICA // RO 1885. (Jesus Mary Joseph // founder // Ondrej Wawrica // year 1885) Below the figure, there is a two-line inscription with a spelling error: POCHALEN BUD // PAN JEZIS KRIS. (Praise be // to lord Jesus Christ). The upper part of the base also has engraved sections on the sides.
The lower part of the base has similar sections with small crosses, but also includes two recessed areas. In the upper section, there is the monogram IHS (the Holy Name of Jesus) above a flaming red heart (the red color of the heart is most likely not original), with a cross rising from the middle of the letter H to the top of the rounded section. The monogram and cross were later emphasized in dark (black) paint, though they were likely originally golden. In the lower recessed section, there is a skull with crossed bones.
Surroundings: The cross is located in front of house No. 513, only about 1.5 meters to the left of the road (the old road) from Nižný Kelčov to the village center. Two coniferous trees grow just behind it. The cross was built in front of the house of its founder, Ondrej Vavrica.
