Description: In January 2007, heavy snowfall broke the original cross, which was originally erected by Jaroslav Matejov’s father. Jaroslav Matejov took on the patronage for constructing the current cross, with financial contributions from local neighbors. The blessing of the new cross took place on Good Friday, April 6, 2007 (according to the records of the municipality), while the inscription at its base states April 7, 2007. The cross stands on a stone base, with a small metal roof featuring rounded decorative edges above the crossbeam. The corpus is painted on a metal sheet, and a plaque with the inscription "INRI" is positioned horizontally above the crossbeam. The figure of Christ is depicted in natural colors, with a pinkish loincloth. The body is shaded, with brown hair and beard, and the crown of thorns highlighted in gray. A yellow halo appears above the head. Wounds are depicted by red streams of blood on the hands, feet, and side. At the base of the cross, a small plaque bears the date April 7, 2007, marking the cross’s renewal. Above this plaque is attached another small wooden cross with an iron corpus.
Surroundings: The cross is situated in Ústredie between houses no. 153 and 156 on the right side of road II/487, heading from Vysoká nad Kysucou to Turzovka. Directly behind the cross are arborvitae trees, forming part of the hedge for house no. 156’s garden
