Description: The statue is placed on a stone pedestal adorned at the top. It was purchased in ..... and is of natural color without any paint. Jesus is depicted pointing to His Heart with one hand and inviting passersby with the other to seek refuge in Him, especially (but not only) during times of illness and plague.
Surroundings: The statue is located in front of the parish building, where a decorative circle with planted roses was created in 2021. In the center of this circle, a column was erected with wires on each side, supporting the climbing roses. These roses captivate not only with their delicate beauty but also with their fragrance from mid-May until the first frost, blooming most profusely around the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Covid column, roses, and statue form part of the Biblical Garden, opened in the same year.
A light brown marble plaque is mounted on the parish garden fence, bearing a short Latin prayer and a commemorative inscription. Through a chronogram, the year of the column’s construction is hidden in the inscription: COR IESV FONS VITAE ET PAX // NOSTRA FI VVLGO SVO RE-// FVGIO SECVRO TEMPORE // CONTAGII. F(ieri)CVRAVERVNT // F.(amilia) R. G. ET F.(amilia) D. V.
