thumb KyceraA pleasant walk from the centre of Čadca will lead you to the adjacent settlement of Kýčera where you will find both, original permanently inhabited houses and newly refurbished holiday cottages. The settlement has its own cemetery, which is a real rarity.

The settlement located at an altitude of approximately 700 m above sea level is crossed by several paths of various level of difficulty - green, yellow and blue marked ones. To reach the settlement, you shall follow the path on the green marked trail (5540) Čadca, station - Nesluša (22.6 km). From the railway station in Čadca, you shall walk past the Kysucké Museum towards the Žarec housing estate, through the meadows with nice views of the city and the surrounding hills. After more than an hour of walking, you can rest on a bench near the local chapel.

Depending on your physical condition, mood, and weather conditions, you can decide to continue your way. Further on the green marked path you will reach Vojtov peak, Črchľa and Chotárny hill where you can connect to the red signed path in the direction to Husárik (you can have a rest with a refreshment in the mountain hotel). However, there is still a shorter alternative on the yellow marked path which will take you from Kýčera to Čadca - Vojty after 40 minutes. Following this path, you will reach Vojty mineral springs. To return to Čadca, you can take a bus or enjoy a nice walk along the road to the Čadca centre. If you follow the blue marked path, you will arrive at the sawmill in Oščadnica.
