Its location in nature, wonderfully reconstructed original cottages as well as friendly people (permanent and weekend residents) predestines this settlement for visual experiences and great photos. Many wedding couples and photographers even come here for this purpose.

The road leading to the settlement reveals impressive views of the Bystrica valley. Entering the place, you shall notice a well-kept chapel where a Holy Mass is held annually, which is an ideal opportunity for a meeting of the original inhabitants of this settlement.

The settlement is crossed by several hiking trails. There are marked routes starting in the town of Krásno nad Kysucou, and a hiking route ending at the top of Veľká Rača. It is suitable for hikers and more skilled cyclists. The settlement itself and the settlement below called U Jarabicov are permanently inhabited by a few people living in the last two houses, while the other buildings are used as cottages. What is praiseworthy is that most cottagers either come directly from this settlement or are descendants of the original inhabitants. The fact that they still have a beautiful relationship with the cottages can be seen on each of them, as well as on the entire landscaped surroundings. A road leads above the chapel passing by the elementary school to the settlement U Kuljovských named after the original settlers.

There are converted weekend cottages, including original wooden houses and the adjacent farm buildings. These highland hamlets of Kysuce used to have their distinctive atmosphere of romantic spirit, singing, dancing, joyful frolicking in the meadows in summer, whereas winters were very harsh. With the extreme amount of snow falling in these high lying places, life there was demanding, and the people had to prepare for the difficult conditions before winter came. The life in settlements was like this, difficult but beautiful at the same time...
